WWE’s Lacey Evans says the Marines ‘saved my life’: ‘I didn’t know what I desired to be’

WWE Superstar Lacey Evans is a proud veteran.

The star served in the Marines just before taking her career to the ring and is preparing for the organization’s once-a-year “Tribute to the Troops” occasion.

Ahead of the specific salute, the 30-calendar year-aged wrestler spoke with The Wrap about her time in the armed service and what it usually means to her.

Evans was a member of the U.S. Marines’ particular response group, a position that ran “24 several hours a day, seven days a 7 days,” as she place it.

Irrespective of the depth of this sort of a situation, Evans mentioned that her time with the Marines “actually saved my life.”

The Superstar added: “All I knew, even though hunting about, [was] my dysfunctional, drug-infested, mental health. Anger, melancholy. It seeped [into] and wrecked my loved ones. Which is the everyday living that I understood.”

“I know not only what the armed forces goes by — the veterans, the energetic-responsibility — but their spouses, their young ones,” she claimed. “They’re likely by hell. The divorce rate’s higher, the arguments are large. The veterans are fatigued, the lively-duty — they go by a large amount.”
