Tallahassee firefighters put out Old Bainbridge Street household fireplace

Tallahassee firefighters responded to a residence hearth Tuesday afternoon on the 800 block of Previous Bainbridge Street in Frenchtown.

The solitary-tale home, in close proximity to the west side of Oakland Cemetery, had “major smoke and hearth coming from the entrance,” the Tallahassee Fire Division documented. 

Firefighters commenced placing out the blaze and searched the dwelling for any person inside. The division says firefighters figured out that 1 man or woman had been residence at the time of the hearth but escaped in advance of 1st responders arrived. 

The American Crimson Cross helped one resident, however TFD did not specify if this was the resident who escaped the setting up. “Crews extinguished the hearth and prevented the complete reduction of the residence,” the section documented. 

No accidents had been described and the office however is investigating what caused the fireplace. 

Tallahassee law enforcement shut roads in the region simply because of fire hoses and emergency motor vehicles parked in the highway. Leon County EMS and Town of Tallahassee Utilities also assisted.
