Atira government director Janice Abbott advised Postmedia News that the Gastown Lodge was an all-genders facility and that Sunday’s altercation occurred in a home and “involved at minimum two tenants and a tenant’s guest, all male.”

She stated 70 per cent of the hotel’s tenants are male.
