Madlib Says Present-day Audio Should Sound Additional Like General public Enemy, “But It’s Just Not There”

Famous producer Madlib, who launched his new album, Audio Ancestors, on Friday, suggests he wishes extra present day rap music was closer in design and style to Pubic Enemy and that modern music “is telling you undesirable things to do.”

“Rap songs proper now should be like Public Enemy things, but it’s just not there,” Madlib explained to Guardian, Saturday. “I wish it was much more like how it was in the previously days when I was coming up. My influences. Serious audio. Music can teach you … factors not to do.”
He included: “Most of the new music nowadays is telling you terrible matters to do. My type of hip-hop can assistance you improve up.”
