CS Fresh Parkway Parade Review : Fresh New Look | The Wacky Duo

Time to freshen up.

For the longest time, Cold Storage has ruled the basement of Parkway Parade.
With Fairprice Xtra opening up its doors a year ago, the supermarket has seen
a dwindling crowd. 

This year, it freshen up with new branding- CS Fresh. 

CS Fresh is a modern supermarket experience with a fresh interior and revamped
product selection. It focuses on bringing in a more premium supermarket
experience with premium meats, artisanal cheese,  Asian Roasts and more.

A more colour-coordinated experience

Fruits CS Fresh

The decor pays a lot of attention to details. A look at the fruits section
would bring a fresh perspective to grocery shopping with colour coordinated
fruit layout. The first impression you will get is how modern this supermarket
is.

Premium Australian Bakery

One of the first things that greet you at the entrance is the bakery. The loaves of bread are so inviting.

The next section you will encounter is the fresh international & local produce consisting of fruits and vegetables. There is also a selection of Asian Deli for the local touch.

The next time we spotted is  Kitchen on the Go.

Roast Meat

One of our favourite stations at the old Cold Storage is their ready-to-eat roasts and shushi. We are glad that it is still around in CS Fresh.

In addition, we spotted these roast meats from the kitchen of Crystal Jade. This adds diversity to the ready-to-eat range at CS Fresh.

World of Whiskey & International Wines

Tucked away in the corner is a fine selection of whiskey and international wine.

Other than the fancy food section, you can get your usual grocery fare at CS Fresh as well. It is very much like a typical supermarket.

Frozen Section

For the frozen section, we did spot some interesting options such as impossible meat. One thing to note would be the pricing. We often compared the pricing of ice cream to determine if one supermarket is pricer than the next. Since CS Fresh is positioned to be a premier brand, it is not surprising that the prices reflect that.

With a more upmarket vibe, CS Fresh attempts to wrest shoppers from Fairprice Xtra. At a premium price compared to Fairprice Xtra, will this revamp succeed?
