A gentleman who is suspected of becoming a member of the riot at the U.S. Capitol very last week explained to authorities a Capitol Police officer shook his hand as he entered the developing and stated: ‘It’s your residence now.’

Robert Bauer admitted to the FBI that he, together with his cousin, Edward Hemenway of Virginia, went to the pro-Trump rally outside the house the White House on January 6 prior to heading to the riot at the Capitol.

At the time inside the constructing, the police officer grabbed Bauer’s hand, he claimed.

Hemenway promises he then stated ‘sorry’ to the law enforcement officer to which the officer recurring ‘It’s your home now’ and proceeded to give Hemenway a ‘half-hug.’ 

Bauer statements that he thinks the officer was acting out of dread. 

He has also informed FBI investigators that he entered the Capitol to ‘occupy space’ and has explained he was not conscious Congress was in session at the time according to Fox News.

Each Bauer and Hemenway have been billed with violent entry and disorderly conduct and knowingly coming into or remaining in a restricted developing or grounds. 

The FBI is explained to have used photos Bauer posted to Facebook to identify them the two.

Earlier this week, two officers with the Capitol Police have been been suspended and a third member of regulation-enforcement was arrested for alleged misconduct as it emerged a total of 17 Capitol Law enforcement officers are staying investigated.

A single was suspended for getting a selfie with a rioter. A different was suspended for placing on a MAGA hat and acting as a ‘guide’ for rioters about the Capitol.
